Alexander was born and raised on the West side of Chicago! Since Alexander was a kid, he has cared for hamsters, fish, birds, and a pretty impressive sea monkey collection! In recent years, Alexander has also helped care for their family pup and has done pet sits for others. If Alexander were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Siberian Husky: once he gets excited about something, he’s invested and there’s no way to keep him from being excited! Ali is originally from the Chicago suburbs, and is now happy to call Chicago home! Growing up, Ali cared for a Basset Hound/Beagle Mix, and their grandmother owned a kennel where they learned to help care for a lot of different dogs and cats. Currently they care for a handsome and energetic cat named Kell! If Ali were to be a dog, they would definitely be an English Bulldog: they can be very stubborn, but really a softy on the inside! Allen is a Chicago native and is originally from the Riverdale neighborhood! Allen has prior experience with dog walking, and has also volunteered at the Anti Cruelty Society whenever he gets a chance to! If Allen were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Lab/Rottweiler. What Allen loves most about walking dogs is that it is a great opportunity for him to explore more of the city with a canine companion by his side to hit it off with! Amie was born and raised in Minneapolis, Minnesota! Growing up, Amie has always loved dogs but has really become passionate about them after starting their experience as a dog walker in early 2018. Although Amie does not have her own dog, she does currently have a cat named Layla! If Amie were to be a dog, she would definitely be an Australian Cattle Dog! Annie is originally from Sioux City, IA. She has owned dogs and cats her whole life. Her parents currently have three corgis, but when family visits, the household is at a whopping five corgis. If Annie were a dog, she would be a Bassett Hound, because they just get her. Her favorite thing about walking dogs is watching them discover the world and seeing things through their eyes. What she loves most about animals is how much love they have to give, and that they remind her to be kind and generous to everyone. Aram is originally from Amenia, New Jersey! Aram grew up in the pet care industry boarding dogs with his mom, so there were always animals around the house. Since then, Aram has been a dog and cat uncle to many of his friends and colleagues over the years, and has also had a brief stint on an Icelandic sheep farm! If Aram were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Golden Retriever who aspires to be a Weimaraner! Arelys is a born and raised Chicago native! Growing up, Arelys has always been surrounded by animals. She has cared for cats, dogs, and even reptiles! In addition, Arelys has been working professionally with dogs for the past 11 years: Arelys had her own dog training business, worked at PetSmart as a dog trainer, was a dog behaviorist, and even worked at an animal shelter! Currently Arelys has a rescue Cane Corso, who although may look fierce, is actually the sweetest gentle girl in town! If Arelys were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Doberman: she is protective, fearless, energetic, and confident! What Arelys loves most about walking dogs is being able to enjoy the outdoors and enjoy walking with all sorts of different dog breeds joining her! Outside of dog walking, Arelys does vocals for and manages her own metal band! She also enjoys going to concerts, doing artwork and crafts, and going on adventures outdoors with her dog. Aubrie is from a small farming community in central Illinois called El Paso. Aubrie moved to the Chicago area for school and hasn’t left since! Aubrie comes from a family of animal lovers and has been surrounded by dogs form the time she was born. Aubrie especially had a lot of Dachshunds growing up, and is currently a proud pet parent of her own 11-year-old Wirehaired Dachshund named Charlie Brown. Aubrie also has a 4-year-old Budgerigar named Lucy! If Aubrie were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Labrador Retriever: easy-going and loves spending quality time with friends and family. What Aubrie loves most about walking dogs is being able to build close bonds and form relationships with so many different dogs! To Aubrie, there’s no better feeling than walking in the door and seeing your furry friend wagging their tail excited to see you again. Outside of dog walking, Aubrie is an avid reader and has set a running goal to read 40 books a year (especially of the horror genre)! Aubrie also has taken up rollerskating and is hoping to improve. Ben grew up in Waukesha, WI. His family has had dogs since before he was born. They’ve owned a Golden Retriever, a Cockapoo and a Goldendoodle. Currently, Ben owns a black cat named Wednesday. If he could be a dog he would be a Golden Retriever. Ben’s favorite part of dog walking is building relationships with so many different dogs. Brenton is originally from the Central Illinois area. He grew up among six sisters in Peoria, Illinois. Growing up together they had Gypsy, a Siberian Husky, and Tayden, a Black Lab, as well as Filbur, a three-legged cat they rescued. Currently, he is a foster parent to a loving Pitbull, Hank! He has had the honor of caring for him for almost four years now. If he could be a dog, he would be a Great Pyrenees, because they are affectionate, gentle, and patient, as well as, confident, fearless, and strong-willed. Brenton is a very gentle human with lots of love and compassion, but if his loved ones are in danger, he will protect them. His favorite thing about walking dogs is sharing the outside with them and how each walk unfolds differently even when you are walking in the same neighborhood. Mostly, he loves all the different personalities animals have and how incredibly well they can communicate without using words. Brittany is originally from the West Coast, but has lived in the Midwest for several years now! Brittany grew up with an Australian Shepherd and a Golden Retriever named Jag & Dixie who were both super energetic and were inseparable! Although Brittany does not currently have a pet of her own, her mom currently cares for two Rottweilers who absolutely love belly rubs. If Brittany were to be a dog, she’d definitely be a Lab: loyal, friendly, and loves making new connections/relationships! What Brittany loves most about walking dogs is being able to get some fresh air with a great canine companion. Brittany loves being able to see the pup’s wild fascination with absolutely everything! Outside of dog walking, Brittany’s second home is in theatre, preferably backstage. Brittany loves being the one behind the scenes, whether it’s building a set or making sure an actor doesn’t forget their prop before going on stage. Brody is from Findlay, a small farming community in Illinois. His family has rescued three dogs during his lifetime, all of which became valued members of his family. Brody has also worked on several farms, tending to the needs of elk, cattle, and sheep! If Brody were to be a dog, he would definitely be an American Labrador. What Brody loves most about walking dogs is how excited the dogs get as soon as he picks up the leash! Outside of dog walking, Brody enjoys reading, hiking, and watching live music. Candace is originally from Columbus, Ohio, but has lived in Chicago for a while now and is truly loving it! Candace grew up with both cats and dogs! She had a feisty, loyal and lovable Cairn Terrier named Sammy, and a Dachshund/Shih Tzu mix named Tracer who she trained as a puppy and had to retrain after he lost his eyesight at 10 years old. Candace also has experience working with a few different doggy daycares, and have experience working at the Trio Animal Foundation! If Candace were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Mutt! What Candace loves most about walking dogs is being able to see the excitement the walks bring the dogs and the opportunity to explore! Carolyn is originally from Philly! Carolyn has prior experience caring for both her friends’ and neighbors’ cats and dogs. Carolyn also currently cares for a cat of her own named Lulu! If Carolyn were to be a dog she would definitely be a Beagle: very friendly and tend to get loud when she’s excited. What Carolyn enjoys most about walking dogs is being able to make them happy by going outside, whether it’s for a brisk walk or at a more leisurely pace. Seein a pup happy makes Carolyn’s day! Outside of dog walking, Carolyn enjoys performing and watching comedy and live theater, and she enjoys reading. What Carolyn loves most about animals is how intuitive they are! Caroly finds it very comforting that animals instinctively know how to cheer you up when you’re sad!
Cassandra is originally from Texas and Nebraska. She grew up with two dogs, rats, turtles, a cat, and a fish! Although Cassandra does not have a dog of her own, she has a family Aussie mix named Odie back home. If Cassandra were to be a dog, she would probably be either a Golden Doodle or a Basset Hound – most days she is itching to go outside, but on her days off she loves to sleep! What Cassandra loves most about dog walking is being able to get exercise with a furry friend! Being outside in Chicago offers her new experiences on a daily basis, which she finds exciting! In addition to walking dogs, Cassandra makes photography and video art, and enjoys writing! The thing Cassandra loves most about animals is their contagious enthusiasm for life, and their never-ending love!
Clare is a Chicago native (Lincoln Park/Lakeview area to be exact). She grew up with a passion for animals, but has always had a specific fondness and connection with dogs. While she’s never had a pup of her own, we can’t say she didn’t try, as she asked for one every Christmas and birthday. Luckily she got to spend lots of time with her grandma and aunts prospective dogs (a Golden Retriever named Cheyanne and a Shiba Inu named Tobey) and has cared for many others in her free time. Clare likes to think of herself as some sort of energetic, big, goofy, fluffy, friendly, show-stopping mutt, where you would simply have to inquire what breed she was and you would receive an aloof answer. In her free time, Clare enjoys exploring the outdoors, going to concerts and comedy shows, watching movies, sketching, and hanging out in coffee shops. When dog walking, she appreciates getting to spend quality time with dogs of varying personalities and forming a bond with them. She finds being around dogs to be very special as they typically brighten her spirits and help her enjoy the present. She believes animals are so powerful and that we can learn so much from their ability to trust and their endless compassion.
Corinna is from Humboldt Park and is a Chicago native! Corrina has prior experience as a dog walker for a couple years as she was working on her tattoo apprenticeship, and she is excited to have the opportunity to continue with this even when she’s working fulltime as a tattoo artist. Corinna has a cat of her own named Maruchan who she treats like her son! If Corinna were to be a dog she would definitely be a Bull Terrier: a bit weird but overall loyal and sweet! Corinna’s favorite thing about walking dogs is having the opportunity to see them so excited when she arrives, and she loves knowing that she can give the pups some time to have fun when they’re alone while their family is gone! Outside of dog walking, Corinna is also part of an art collective that vends at events. She is also a horror movie junkie, and she and her friend host a podcast about horror films! What Corinna loves most about animals is how strong and independent they can be but are still fluffy friends that love us unconditionally.
David is originally from Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania! David grew up in a family where it just didn’t feel right to not have a dog running around! His family rescued many different dogs over the years, which has allowed David to have experience working with a variety of breeds with all sorts of unique quirks. Although David doesn’t have his own dog currently, he does have his family dog back home in Pennsylvania always waiting for him: Kane who is a 90 pound German Shepherd. If David were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Belgian Malinois: he is a bit of a workaholic and is always trying to learn new skills! What David loves most about walking dogs is being able to establish a connection with a dog through something as simple as walking. David finds it to be amazing to have the opportunity to see these dogs at peak happiness during their outdoor time! Outside of dog walking, David enjoys training dogs, caring for exotic animals, and gardening hydroponically. What David loves most about animals is how you can always be surprised by an animal’s personality. They all have their own respective traits that make them different from one another and completely unique, which makes every interaction new and exciting for David!
Debo is from Chicago and has done work as a dog walker and pet sitter for Rover. Debo has also worked freelance as a dog walker throughout high school! Debo currently cares for a 1 year old Hound/Terrier mix named Rosa. If Debo were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Pit Bull Terrier! Dustin is originally from Roscommon, MI! Dustin’s family has always had dogs growing up, and is currently caring for a sweet pup of his own. If Dustin were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Blue Heeler! What Dustin loves about dog walking is that he has an opportunity to be able to help care for animals and make sure that they are happy and healthy! Outside of dog walking, Dustin is currently applying to Masters programs, but as a film major he loves watching cinema or creating it. He also enjoys cooking for people! Dylan is a native Chicagoan from the Rogers Park area. He has volunteered at numerous animal shelters, caring for both dogs and cats, as well as taking care of the birds at the Knox College Biology department! Now he has a wonderful Black Lab named Night. If he were a dog, Dylan would be a Labrador like Night! His favorite part about walking dogs is seeing how much they enjoy being out and about, as well as helping them get the exercise they need. Outside of dog walking, Dylan enjoys reading, writing, and making funny videos for his friends. He hopes to make his own YouTube channel from his experiences with these videos! Ella was born in Russia but moved to Chicago in 2017. Ella grew up in a family where animals played a huge role. Throughout Ella’s entire life, she was always accompanied by cats or dogs! Her grandfather was a huge dog lover and he had as many as 5 dogs at one time, in which she especially bonded closely with his St. Bernard Grisha. In Russia, Ella also volunteered to rescue and find homes for stray cats and dogs. When Ella moved to Chicago, she brought her cat Bucephalus with her! If Ella were to be a dog, she would undoubtedly be a St. Bernard: compassionate and a rescuer! What Ella loves most about walking dogs is being able to enjoy the outdoors with a canine companion! She loves being able to observer their behavior during these walks. Outside of dog walking, Ella practices yoga with her husband, and also enjoys photography and mosaic art! Eliott is originally from Owensboro, Kentucky! Elliott grew up with a few different dogs in his childhood; most notably a Border Collie named Kipper that would try to “herd” him and his friends when they played outside! If Elliott were to be a dog, he would likely be a Husky because they both love to talk, but he would love to be a Pug so he could become Instagram famous! What Elliott loves most about walking dogs is being able to provide pups with a connection to the world around them! Elliott also loves being able to help create a better bond with a dog and their family by providing a service that helps to put them in a happier state of mind. Outside of dog walking, Elliott is a local actor, writer, and producer. Elliott also has a passion for horseback riding and scuba diving! He loves how animals take the time to observe everything that is going on around them, and it is something that Elliott strives to do every day as well! Emily is from New Jersey and Vermont, and grew up with a menagerie of animals! Emily’s parents have an alpaca farm, and she’s been surrounded by dogs, cats, horses, sheep, bunnies, and even a rescued European Starling since she was a little girl. Emily also currently has a dog of her own, Sadie, who was rescued from the streets of Atlanta. If Emily were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Shepherd: loyal and lovable! Emily loves dog walking because it gives her the opportunity to meet a variety of pups and experience their unique personalities! Outside of dog walking, Emily is currently going back to school to get her MFA in Film Directing. She is also a writer, painter, and loves everything about being outside! Emma Jo is originally from Springfield, Illinois. She worked at a speciality pet food and supply store for the last three years, and prior to that she worked at a boarding and daycare facility in the suburbs. She has been a cat mom her entire life, and grew up with a sweet little Beagle named Dandy Dog. Emma Jo currently owns two cats: Giselle, a Siamese-Calico mix and King Richard Toothless III (R-2 for short), a special needs (no teeth, deaf, leg joint deformations, etc) Maine Coon mix. If Emma Jo was a dog she would be a Great Dane: She’s goofy, laid-back, and ready to have fun! But, at the end of the day, she’s probably a cat! What she loves about walking dogs is making a one-on-one connection to her pooches, helping them gain confidence in themselves, and bringing out their playful side! What Emma Jo loves about animals is the love and trust they have. No matter how they have been treated in the past, if you show them real love and acceptance, they will follow you to the end of the earth. Even the shyest, saddest, most anxious critter can be brought out of their shell and made into a happy, loving baby! In her spare time, Emma Jo is an actor/dancer, seamstress, and sketch artist! Gabe grew up in a small farm town with less than 500 people in rural Virginia about an hour from Richmond. Gabe has been working in the pet care industry in Chicago since June 2017, but he also grew up with chickens, turtles, rabbits, cats, cows, dogs, and horses! Gabe was actually a professional horse racer from age 9 to 13! Unfortunately Gabe is not able to have a pet of his own since moving to Chicago, which is why working in the pet care industry is so rewarding for him. If Gabe were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Doberman Pinscher: tall, slim, dark hair, loves fashion and dressing up neatly, and is very loyal to his friends! What Gabe loves most about dog walking is being able to meet and develop friendships with as many dogs as possible! Outside of dog walking, Gabe is a cartoonist and published author. As a side job when Gabe is not working on his own books, he enjoys doing commissioned illustrations for other’s album art, book covers, flyers, and more! Gabriel is a Chicago native and has lived around the Jefferson Park neighborhood his whole life! Gabriel has had dogs ever since he was around 5 or 6 years old, and has had a lot of experience with different breeds due to pet sitting for friends and family. Gabriel also currently cares for a 10 year old American Bulldog named Bear! If Gabriel were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Pit Bull Terrier because they are sweethearts and he likes to think that he is one as well! What Gabriel loves most about walking dogs is the sense of freedom it provides to both himself and the dogs, and that the dogs are getting the exercise and new experiences they need. Garrett moved to Chicago from Oklahoma City. He grew up with a Dachshund named Tipsy. If Garrett could be a dog, he would be a Boston Terrier. Just because they’re his favorite. What he loves most about walking dogs is getting to meet new dogs and becoming their friend. Outside of dog-walking, Garrett is an actor in the city. His hobbies include being a huge nerd in the subjects of Musical Theatre, vintage video games, and Arena Rock bands of the 70’s and 80’s.
Gary is originally from Santa Barbara, CA. He grew up with a chubby Dalmatian named Domino, and his handsome Siberian Husky named Yukon currently still lives with his parents in California. Gary has been walking dogs professionally for several years, and was WCP’s Walker Manager for over a year and a half before stepping down to focus on his acting career. If Gary could be a dog, he would be a Northern Inuit because at this point it seems like that’s the only way he’ll ever be on Game of Thrones. His favorite thing about walking dogs is getting to develop friendships with such amazing animals and watching how they grow, no matter their age. One of his favorite characteristics of dogs is their uncontrollable energy when they get excited; they never feel the need to play it cool. Outside of walking dogs, Gary is an actor, improviser, and guitarist around Chicago, and he enjoys regaling people with his theories about what’s going to happen next on Westworld.
Gavin is originally from Los Angeles, California. In addition to having a charismatic dog of their own named Watson and a kitty roommate named Bella, Gavin has worked as a petsitter in the Loop area in the past. If they were a dog, Gavin would be an Australian Shepherd for their energy and knack for learning new things. What Gavin loves most about dog walking is giving each dog a chance for some outdoor time they may otherwise not have throughout the day. Gavin also loves having a furry companion to spend time with while exploring the city! In addition to walking dogs, Gavin is a writer, singer and actor. What Gavin loves most about animals is the unique ways they communicate with each other and with humans because it is a humbling reminder that we are all unique and similar living creatures!
Guillermo is a Chicago native and loves the city! He has previously taken care of a wide variety of animals, including dogs, a cat, birds, a rabbit, and reptiles! Guillermo was a volunteer at PAWS Chicago for two years and has had prior experience in dog walking which worked great for him since his building does not allow pets. If Guillermo were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Siberian Husky! What Guillermo enjoys most about dog walking is being able to spend time with a variety of different breeds, and having the opportunity to learn about all of their individual personalities! Outside of dog walking, Guillermo enjoys playing volleyball, playing softball, and exercising! What Guillermo loves most about animals is how different each and everyone of them are.
Gus is originally from a farm in The Dalles, Oregon! Having grown up on a farm, Gus helped take care of many dogs, cats, goats, ducks, chickens, and horses. Gus’ parents are veterinarians who owned their own clinic, and Gus often helped them there growing up! While Gus was away from home, he also spent time volunteering as a walker for humane societies. If Gus were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Dachshund: long, goofy, and would just prefer to rest their back inside by the fire on a rainy day! What Gus loves most about walking dogs is being outdoors and having a canine companion along with them! Outside of dog walking, Gus is an actor, writer, teacher, and children’s parties entertainer. Hadley is originally from St. Louis, Missouri, but is excited to be in Chicago for classes! Hadley always grew up around animals and has had two dogs in her lifetime: one Dachshund and one Chihuahua. As a child, Hadley also went to horse camp almost every summer and has volunteered to work with service dogs as well. Currently, Hadley has a Chihuahua named Poppy! If Hadley were to be a dog, she would definitely be a German Shepherd because of how beautiful and loyal they are. What Hadley loves most about dog walking is being able to see how the dogs react to their surroundings which in turn gives her a better understanding of the world! Outside of dog walking, Hadley loves fashion and photography, and also enjoys music, concerts, and exploring new places. Isamar is from Chicago and has been here since she was born! Growing up, Isamar had a pet rabbit and several birds. Currently, she has a dog named Paloma, two cats, and a few birds! If Isamar were to be a dog, she would either be a Basset Hound or a Bolognese! What Isamar loves most about walking dogs is being able to create a bond with the pups! Jackie grew up on the north side of Chicago in Old Irving Park! Although Jackie’s parents didn’t allow her to have any pets until she was 10, even before then Jackie hs always gravitated towards whatever family pet was around her! In Middle School, Jackie took it upon herself to volunteer as a dog walker for her parent’s neighbors due to her passion for animals! Starting on her 10th birthday, Jackie grew up with two sibling cats named Hazelnut and Sara, who she still frequently visits. Jackie also currently lives with her good friend, and helps care for his Beagle named Buffy! If Jackie were to be a dog, she originally would consider a Chihuahua (tiny, loyal, and cuddly), but recently leans more towards being a Beagle! What Jackie loves most about walking dogs is being able to take the time to be outside and form a bond with a pup. Jackie loves seeing how happy these walks make the dogs; seeing them enjoy themselves on walks makes walking them enjoyable for Jackie! Jen was born and raised right here in Chicago! She has spent much of her life caring for animals, and is currently the guardian to two adorable pups Spuds and Odie, as well as Meeko, an acrobatic grey tabby kitten. If Jen were a dog, she would be a Pembroke Welsh Corgi! When Jen isn’t walking dogs she enjoys watching reality tv, hiking, and supporting animal related causes. Her favorite thing about animals is that they are always living in the moment, and their ability to teach us simple yet beautiful life lessons.
Jenna is a Chicago native! Jenna has had dogs all her life ranging from small Chihuahuas to bigger German Shepherds! Jenna has also fostered a few animals, and currently owns an 8-year-old cat named Bagheera who she rescued after fostering. If Jenna were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Siberian Husky: they are fearless and carefree! What Jenna loves most about dog walking is having the opportunity to keep animals active and give them a way to release pent up energy! Jenna understands that a simple walk goes a long way at the end of the day. Outside of dog walking, Jenna enjoys working out every morning, and working hard at a busy restaurant! Jessika grew up in the suburbs of Chicago near O’Hare! Jessika has experience fostering with ar escue in Texas, and also volunteering at the Anti Cruelty Society and Wright Way Rescue once she moved to Illinois. Jessika has also worked at Pet Care Plus and Kriser’s in the Chicago area! Jessika currently owns two pups: Lima who is a 9-year-old Labrottie and Obi who is a 5-year-old Chihuahua mix. If Jessika were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Briard: independent, questioning, and loyal! What Jessika loves most about dog walking is having the opportunity to learn how dogs interact with their environment and getting to know their unique personalities and quirks! Outside of walking dogs, Jessika spends her time volunteering with the Forest Preserves of Cook County and enjoying the melting pot of delicious international restaurants of Chicago. Although Jo is happy to be in Chicago, she is still a Montanan at heart! Jo grew up with big, energetic dogs, and used to volunteer at spay and neuter clinics to help pets recover post-surgery! Unfortunately Jo doesn’t currently care for her own pet, but hopes to be able to have a dog of her own some day. If Jo were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Golden Doodle: they have the same hair! What Jo loves most about dog walking is being able to be outdoors and live an active lifestyle while having an amazing canine companion at her side! Outside of dog walking, Jo is an actor and comedian, and enjoys performing at iO and around the city with friends. Jo also enjoys going to the numerous shows available in the city, or taking on new projects around her apartment! What Jo loves most about animals is the different personalities that they have. Whenever Jo interacts with one, she is always surprised by how similar it is to getting to know a person!
Jonathan grew up in here in the Windy City with all manner of dogs! Currently Jonathan lives with his two pit mixes named Quentin and Lucy, his chihuahua named Chaparoo, and a cockatiel! If he were a dog, he would be a Labrador Husky mix. What Jonathan loves most about dog walking is seeing how excited they get before a dog walk and how they sniff around to explore their surroundings. In addition to walking dogs, Jonathan enjoys mentoring at his alma matter’s theatre and also likes to knit and crochet. What Jonathan loves most about animals is how sweet and loving they can be. He believes that animals can brighten up any day!
Jorge was born in Guatemala, but raised here in the Windy City! Jorge has grown up with all sorts of animals and has owned dogs throughout his whole life, including his current pup Dex! If Jorge had to pick a breed of dog to best represent him, he feels like he would be a Pitbull. Outside of dog walking, Jorge likes to ride his bike around and enjoy dining out at the amazing restaurants Chicago has to offer. The thing that Jorge loves the most about walking dogs is their playful spirits and gentle hearts! What Jorge loves most about animals, in general, is the loyalty and unconditional love they provide!
Julia is a Chicago native with over 15 years of professional and personal pet care experience! She works closely with long term clients in addition to volunteering with adoptable animals at The Anti-Cruelty Society. Growing up, she raised a couple of cats, a rat, and several fish and snails. While she currently does not have any pets, she treats every dog and cat she works with as if they were her own. If Julia were a dog she’d be a Pomapoodle; adventurous, intelligent, and very cute! When she’s not working with animals she can be found writing, editing, and reading a variety of genres, lounging at the beach, or watching copious amounts of television. What Julia loves most about walking dogs is simply being around that canine energy outdoors as much as possible. To her, the best thing about animals are their unique personalities!
Justine is a Chicago native who grew up surrounded by 4-legged friends! From fostering to petsitting to volunteering at a Chicago animal shelter, Justine has done it all and is excited to care for your best friend as part of the Windy City Paws team. If Justine were a dog, she would be a Corgi! Her favorite thing about animals is how kind and accepting they are. She enjoys the opportunity to spend time in nature building relationships with some of the coolest pups in Chicago! When Justine isn’t busy walking dogs, you can find her performing at various venues throughout the city or hanging out with her adopted guinea pig, Bruce.
Kasie is originally from Carbondale, IL, but is fully knowledgeable of Chicago! Although she does not have any dogs of her own currently, Kasie and her husband rescued and fostered a Great Dane puppy, having helped raise him into a family pup together. If Kasie were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Golden Retriever! What Kasie loves most about walking dogs is being able to see them light up as soon as they know they’re headed outside for their walk! Outside of dog walking, Kasie is a graphic designer, an improv acting student at Second City, and a long distance runner. What Kasie loves most about animals is how no matter what species, every animal has a personality that’s unique to them!
Katie is originally for North Carolina and has been living in Chicago for 15 years. Katie grew up with turtles, cats, and dogs of all sizes and temperaments! She has also cared for neighbors’ and coworkers’ dogs from Dachshunds to Newfoundlands. Katie currently has a rescue cat named Oregon and a turtle named Spike! If Katie had to be a dog, she feels she would best be represented by a German Shepherd mix as they are loyal, caring, and hardworking. Outside of walking dogs, Katie likes to spend her time writing, editing, cooking, and working on jigsaw puzzles! The thing she loves most about walking dogs is feeling their positive energy and getting to know their unique personalities. And lastly, the thing she loves most about animals, in general, is how empathetic they are and how attuned they are to the feelings of those around them.
Keith is originally from London, England! He grew up in a family of dog and cat owners. They always had dogs, or cats…and sometimes both! Keith currently owns two wonderful rescue cats… who make it apparent that he and his wife are living in “their Space “ (this is no more obvious then when sleeping, and they are squashed into one tiny corner of the bed)! If he could be a dog he would be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier! Keith’s favorite part of dog walking is spending time with the dogs, and getting to know their idiosyncrasies. What he loves most about animals is their different personalities, a trait you only get to notice, and appreciate, when you spend time with them. Keith is a musician, and also enjoys photography in his spare time.
Kendall is originally from Dallas, Texas, but now calls Chicago home! Kendall grew up with multiple different rescue dogs, and currently has two wonderful rescue cats, Shibori & Hunter, and a turtle named Aztec. What Kendall loves most about walking dogs is having the opportunity to explore the city with amazing dogs at her side! What Kendall loves most about animals is that they have a wide variety of fun personalities that make them each unique. Outside of dog walking, Kendall is a furniture and housewares designer that specializes in textiles and soft goods. If Kendall were to be a dog, she would definitely be an Alaskan Malamute!
Kevin is originally from Feeding Hills, Massachusetts, a small suburb of Springfield! Growing up, Kevin had a Springer Spaniel who was the family dog and was very sweet and wonderful! Kevin also had a Labrador Retriever in his late teens that he took through obedience training, working on walking on a leash and basic commands. Kevin also had cats throughout his life, and has plenty of experience caring for feline companions as well! If Kevin were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Labrador Retriever. What Kevin loves most about walking does is being able to provide the much-needed exercise and outside time for these pups! Outside of dog walking, Kevin enjoys bike riding, fitness, reading, and doing home improvement projects. What Kevin loves most about animals is how they have unconditional love for their owners and are always happy to see you!
Kim was born and raised in Chicago and have experienced multiple neighborhoods throughout the city! Growing up, Kim has always had dogs including a Cocker Spaniel named Spot and a German Shepherd named Salle. Kim currently cares for a Terrier mix rescue named Bitsy Boo who is a big girl who believes she’s still a lap dog! If Kim were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Golden Retriever: she loves to run and swim! What Kim loves most about dog walking is having the opportunity to be outside and see how excited the dogs get when she grabs the leash! Outside of dog walking, Ki enjoys watching crime series on Netflix, going to the movies, reading a good horror book, and spending time with her family while walking Bitsy! What Kim loves most about animals is the happiness they give off. They get so happy and excited, and it warms her heart that even the smallest things make them so happy!
Kristin is originally from Flora, Illinois! Three years after moving to Chicago, Kristin started working in dog daycares. She quickly fell in love with the industry, and decided to pursue a career in pet care! After a couple years working for Jameson Loves Danger, Kristin was hired for Windy City Paws. Currently, Kristin and her partner care for an 18 year old cat named Haley. Although her hair gets everywhere, Haley has been their loving companion for many years, and hopefully for many years to come! If Kristin were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Beagle: kind, open-minded, easy-going, and gets along with pretty much anyone! Kristin is also very food motivated, similar to a Beagle! What Kristin loves most about walking dogs is just the fact that she gets to spend time with such amazing pups! Outside of walking, Kristin enjoys playing video games and Dungeons & Dragons. Larkin is originally from Ashland, Oregon but moved to Chicago in 2016 from New York. She grew up with both cats and dogs, all of which were rescues. Larkin frequently went on long walks and hikes with her dogs back home. Larkin currently owns two Domestic Short Hair cats named Piper and Max who are four and three years old respectively. If Larkin were to be a dog, she would probably be a Border Collie! What Larkin loves most about dog walking is the companionship that the dog provides and being able to see the joy dogs get when exploring the outside world! In addition to walking dogs, Larkin is a freelance dramaturg and she enjoys working on new scripts with playwrights. Larkin does her best to make help ensure the story the playwright wants to be telling is the story that is actually being told! Larkin also enjoys hiking, camping, and swing dancing on her free time! The thing Larkin loves most about animals is the comfort and companionship they provide.
Lia is a Chicago native and grew up with a gaggle of pugs. She and her fiancé have two adorable Boston Terriers who are sometimes too smart for their own good. Lia lived in Denver for several years where she fostered abused dogs that could not be put up for adoption at the humane society until they had been rehabilitated. What she loves most about dogs is their resilience and capacity to love without condition. Her favorite part of walking dogs is getting to know each dog’s personality as well as getting great exercise with her four-legged friends. If Lia were a dog breed, she would probably be a Newfoundland – friendly, hardworking, and a caretaker by nature. Outside of dog walking, Lia is the Director of Strategic Development for a Chicago nonprofit organization. In her spare time, she loves supporting the Chicago comedy scene, volunteering, traveling and anything to do with fresh air and sunshine!
Lucia grew up in Portage Park and has spent most of her life in Chicago! Lucia has always had at least two dogs growing up at all times, and she has also pet sit for her family whenever they went on vacation! Lucia has also volunteered at the PAWS facility on 26th street. Lucia currently owns 2 cats, Uva and Bruce Wayne, and a 7 year old chocolate Lab named Duchess! If Lucia were to be a dog breed, she would definitely be a Cocker Spaniel! What Lucia enjoys most about dog walking is getting to know each dog’s personality while on a walk! She also enjoys the overall calming experience of spending time with such a fun and loving animal. Madeline is originally from Ann Arbor, Michigan! She has had pets her whole life, and grew up with a little Havanese named Maggie along with many hamsters and a bird! Madeline is unsure of what breed she would be if she were to be a dog, but one thing she knows is that regardless of the breed, she most closely identifies with puppies: energetic, loves to nap, and overly friendly with strangers! What Madeline loves most about walking dogs is being able to get some much needed time outside with a canine companion. Outside of dog walking, Madeline enjoys writing, finding new podcasts to obsess over, restoring old furniture, art, and music! What Madeline loves most about animals is that they all have their own individual quirks and personalities that somehow make them even more lovable!
Manon is originally from a small town in the southwest of France. She lived in the Washington D.C. area for four years before moving to Chicago. She grew up with two dogs (an old English Sheepdog and a Pekingese) and a lot of cats. When she first arrived in the U.S. as an au pair, she took care of her host family’s dog, Ozzie, and did a lot of pet sitting and walks with for his friends in the neighborhood. If she could be a dog, she would be a Labrador – friendly, always up for anything and a little goofy. Manon’s favorite thing about dog walking is getting to know the pups’ individual personalities and walking around Chicago! What she loves most about animals is their unconditional love. Outside of dog walking, Manon is a nanny for her former host family. She likes to watch movies, cook, go to museums, try new board games, and play The Sims!
Mariah is from Seattle, WA. She grew up with an Alaskan Malamute and an Akita! If Mariah could be a dog she would be a German Shepherd! What she loves about dog walking is it makes her day and she loves hanging around dogs! What she loves about animals is how they are great companions and have a huge love of life. In her spare time, Mariah enjoys dancing, reading, writing and taking photos!
Marianne is from Mansfield, Texas. She had a cat when she was growing up, and later she lived with a blind poodle for a while in college. If she were a dog she would be a Bernese mountain dog, because they’re tall and super friendly! What Marianne loves about walking dogs is experiencing all the unconditional love. What she loves most about animals is that they are just so darn cute! In her spare time, Marianne enjoys reading, writing, and binging Netflix.
Matt is originally from Valparaiso, Indiana, but now is happy to call Chicago home! Both of Matt’s parents are veterinarians who own their own practice, so Matt has always grown around a large number of animals. Matt primarily grew up with larger dog breeds like their German Shepherds, Alaskan Malamutes, and Scottish Deerhounds, but he has also had the opportunity to work with cats, fish, parrots, horses, and wildlife rescues as well! Unfortunately Matt does not care for a pup of his own at the moment, but he hopes to have the opportunity to do so soon! If Matt were to be a dog, he would definitely be a big lanky Greyhound. What Matt loves most about dog walking is having the opportunity to meet all kinds of different dogs as part of his job! Outside of dog walking, Matt is an active performer in the Chicago comedy scene, as well as a freelance photographer/videographer. Megan is originally from Cincinnati, Ohio, but has lived in Chicago long enough to know its insides and outs! Growing up, Megan always lived with at least 2 cats in the house due to her parents both being huge cat people. Currently, Megan is a proud mom of Pa Jun (a Tabby cat), and Omar Little (a Pug), who are both 9 years young! If Megan were to be a dog, she would definitely be a pug: willful, loyal, playful, and prone to napping! What Megan enjoys most about dog walking is having the opportunity to explore the city while helping keep pups both healthy and happy. Melody is from Villa Park, Illinois, and is very familiar with the city! Melody has been a pet care specialist and dog walker for several years and she has always had pets of her own! Currently, Melody has a Pitbull mix named Mollee! If Melody were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Rat Terrier: energetic, loves to run, and isn’t always happy to be woken up! Michael is a recent transplant here in Chicago from sunny Sarasota, Florida. Michael graduated with a degree in theatre from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers, and then moved to Chicago to pursue a career in performance art and theatre. He is the lucky best friend of a beautiful Australian Shepherd named Apache, who unfortunately due to traveling had to stay back home in Florida. They like to FaceTime each other though so it’s all good! If Michael were a dog, he would be a dachshund. His favorite thing about animals is the way they love unconditionally!

Michelle is originally from the northwest suburbs of Chicago! Michelle has always had dogs growing up, but loves all things cute and cuddly! Michelle also volunteers with a therapeutic riding center on weekends where she gets to work with awesome kids and horses. If Michelle were to be a dog, she would definitely be an Irish Terrier because she has that Terrier spunk and read hair. Nancy is from Chicago. Over the years, she has cat-sat for friends and has walked her neighbors’ dogs. Nancy currently owns a very spoiled Maltese-poodle dog! If she were a dog she would be a Dandie Dinmont Terrier. Nancy loves that she never knows what to expect from dogs. They do so many silly things that they always put a smile on her face and make her laugh every single time! It’s just a happy atmosphere with dogs! What she loves most about animals is their loyalty! In her spare time, Nancy enjoys reading cozy mystery novels, running marathons, and trying to learn other languages.
Natalia is born and raised in Chicago and is proud to call it home! Throughout Natalia’s childhood, she has cared for 3 lizards, and has 3 pups that her and her siblings care for: Juliet the Beagle mix and Romeo & Neo the Chihuahua mixes. If Natalia were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Blue Heeler: she has a huge sense of responsibility being the oldest sibling in the family and guides them as a Blue Heeler would guide sheep! Nathan is originally from St. Louis, but has called Chicago home for over a decade! Nathan grew up surrounded by animals and actually spent summers at horse camp. Although he does not have a pet of his own, he does share a home with an awesome Shih Tzu named Gizmo. If Nathan were to be a dog, he would be a West Highland Terrier! What Nathan loves most about walking dogs is getting to know each dog and their own personal traits. Outside of dog walking, Nathan is an active member of the Chicago theater community, performing in shows all over the city. He also started playing the ukulele recently! What Nathan loves most about animals is the unconditional love that they can provide!
Nathaniel is originally from Boulder CO, but growing up he’s lived all over: Washington DC, Atlanta, Vietnam, and the Philippines! He’s lived with dogs and cats all his life. At home, he took care of two dogs, a Filipino mix and a chocolate Labrador. Nathaniel currently doesn’t have any pets as his apartment doesn’t allow them, but he hopes to have a dog or cat of his own in the near future! If he could be a dog he would be a standard Schnauzer: loyal, quick to learn, occasionally mischievous, and easily bored. What he enjoys about dog walking is how meditative it can be! Also, dogs are excellent listeners! What he loves most about animals is that they just need to be loved, pure and simple. It’s wonderfully uncomplicated, and they can remind us to be the most caring and loving version of ourselves. In his spare time, Nathaniel is an actor, yoga enthusiast, avid reader, and guitar player. He loves reading about spirituality, mythology (Joseph Cambell for the win!), classic plays, and graphic design.
Paige is a Chicago native! She has had dogs all her life, ranging from a Chow Chow-German Shepherd mix, to an Anatolian Shepherd, to a Shih Tzu. She currently has a Beagle named Rocky! If Paige were a dog, she’d be a Bernese Mountain Dog because they are loyal and affectionate. Paige’s favorite part about dog walking is seeing the joy expressed by dogs when they go outside; their happiness is uncontainable and brings a smile to her face! In her spare time, Paige enjoys reading and going to art museums. Paige’s favorite thing about animals is their friendship and that they provide a source of pure love.
Ryan is from Greensboro, North Carolina. His family owned a Golden Retriever in the past and currently owns a Bichon Frise‘ named Lucky! He has experience petsitting for friends and neighbors as well. If Ryan could be a dog, he would be a Greyhound because they are tall and Lanky! What he loves most about dog walking is getting to spend time with dogs. There’s an inherent joy he experiences from being around them, it must be their loyalty and playfulness! What he loves most about animals is their lack of insecurity. They’re free to be as they are without any societal constraints. Outside of dog walking, Ryan works in the theatre world. His hobbies include watching movies, reading, biking, and exercising.
Sam is originally from Romeoville and the surrounding suburbs. Although Sam doesn’t currently have a dog, Sam cared for his family dog Louie, an energetic Shih Tzu/Bichon mix, and also has done some professional walking the past as well! If Sam were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Foxhound. What Sam loves most about walking dogs is that it is healthy for both the mind and body for him and the pooch. He also enjoys getting the exercise and just being able to be outside for a while without having anywhere specific to go with a canine companion at his side! Outside of dog walking, Sam is an author, an illustrator, and loves casually playing and making video games. What Sam loves most about animals is how goofy they can be at times!
Sarah is originally from Wayne, ME. She grew up with border collies and rode horses for many years. Growing up in the middle of the Maine woods, she was lucky to often spot deer, and occasionally moose! Sarah currently lives with her roommates cat, Leo, and back home her dad still has Scooter, the border collie! If she were a dog she would be a Goldendoodle. Sarah favorite part of dog walking is THE DOGS! She has a whole new set of best friends whom she loves to spend time with! What she loves most about animals is their empathy, and their ability to tune into the emotion of their person! In her spare time, Sarah enjoys acting and directing and has been lucky enough to work with several wonderful theatre companies. She also loves hiking and cuddling up to drink hot chocolate.
Scott is originally from Pennsylvania but has lived in Chicago for the last 26 years. He had a dog, a Bichon Frisé, named Victor, as well as many cats throughout his life, named: Max, Sebastian, Bonkers, & Smokey. If Scott could be a dog he would be a Beagle. Scott’s favorite part of dog walking is how being with dogs is calming and is one of the best ways you can spend your time. They are the most loving and giving of all animals. What he loves most about animals are their happy souls. In his spare time, Scott enjoys acting and teaching as an adjunct professor at Columbia College. He also loves to read!
Sean is from Chicago! He’s had pets his entire life, including dogs, cats, and a parrot. Sean currently owns two dogs, a yellow lab and a cockapoo. If he could be a dog he would be a Great Dane. His favorite part of dog walking is getting to spend his day with all kinds of amazing pups and dogs! What he loves most about animals is their ability to give you unconditional love and loyalty! In his spare time, Sean loves to ride his bicycle around the city. He enjoys playing Frisbee golf in the summer and loves to go Ice skating downtown in the winter.
Sierra is originally from Bristol, Indiana. She grew up with a veritable farm of pets from a pit bull mix and German short hair pointer mix to cats, hermit crabs, chinchillas, and a bird! Currently Sierra lives with her two cats named Gusto and Arya! If she were a dog, she would be a Husky. What Sierra loves most about dog walking is getting to know the dogs and the exercise from being outdoors with them! In addition to walking dogs, Sierra is in school for art therapy and counseling, enjoys reading Sci-Fi and Fantasy, and practicing Karate. What Sierra loves most about animals is how loving and accepting they are, getting to know them, and seeing their individual personalities!
Veronica originally hails from Mexico City before coming to Chicago. She grew up with several dogs and even helped rescue a dog here in Chicago that she found wandering the streets! She currently owns an adorable Pug and Rat Terrier mix named Max. If Veronica were a dog breed, she feels like she would be much like her own pup Max, a very down to earth but active dog! When not walking dogs, Veronica likes to spend her free time with her daughter and Max and also running. She has participated in several marathons, half marathons, and other races! What Veronica loves most about walking dogs is that it can be an adventure with every walk being a little different and that both she and the dog can learn, meet people, and have fun! The thing she loves most about animals, in general, is the unconditional love they provide when you give them the chance!
Victor is originally from Sunderland, MA, but enjoys calling Chicago his new home. Victor has been a dog owner for seven years and a dogsitter for canine clients of all shapes and sizes. He currently has a terrier mix of his own that he is constantly learning from. If Victor were a pup, he would be a big, fluffy, mutt! Victor’s favorite thing about walking dogs is urban walking, and taking his time to build strong relationships with dogs. When Victor isn’t walking dogs, he enjoys reading, writing, and drawing! The thing Victor loves most about animals is, meeting different kinds of personalities and mindsets they have, and learning from them on their own terms.
Wes is originally from Palatine, IL! Wes grew up with 3 retired racing Greyhound rescues growing up, and he also has experience fostering a couple German Shepherds! On top of this, Wes has cared for a lot of his neighbors’ dogs and cats and volunteered at animal shelters. If Wes were to be a dog, he would definitely be a German Shepherd! What Wes loves most about walking dogs is the bond that he is able to form with the dogs that involve loyalty, trust, and love. He also loves being able to provide the pups a good exercise and adventure! Outside of dog walking, Wes enjoys music, cooking, and is an audio engineer/producer. What Wes loves most about animals is how we are able to learn more about ourselves as humans from them!
Yandy was born in Chicago and lived in Albany Park the majority of her life! She has cared for dog and other small animals throughout the majority of her life, and is also currently volunteering at PAWS! Yandy also currently cares for a Maltese / Shih Tzu mix named Gizmo. If Yandy were to be a dog, she would definitely be a German Shepherd! What Yandy loves most about dog walking is being able to watch how happy and excited the dogs get when it is time to head outside. Something as simple as a walk around the neighborhood can really brighten the pup’s day! Outside of dog walking, Yandy enjoys playing sports and watching movies. What Yandy loves most about animals is how loving and trusting they can be!
Yvette was born and raised in Chicago and is happy to call it home! Growing up, Yvette always had a pet to care for, and more recently worked at a pet store where she expanded her knowledge of animals. Currently Yvette owns a loving 3 year old female Rat Terrier who really knows how to lighten up her days! If Yvette were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Pomeranian: small and sassy! What Yvette loves most about walking dogs is creating a special bond with the animal and giving their owners satisfaction that their pets are well taken care of. Outside of dog walking, Yvette enjoys spending her free time going to the movies, shopping, attending comedy shows, and hanging out with her boyfriend! What Yvette loves most about animals is that they are so loving and can really form a connection with people!
