Ahmet is from Chicago, IL and grew up with 2 parakeets! While Ahmet does not currently have any pets of his own, he loves learning about dogs and their unique personalities. When he is not caring for the pups of Chicago, Ahmet enjoys running, playing video games, and programming. His favorite thing about animals is their careless nature and excitement for life, which is probably why Ahmet believes that if he were a dog, he would be a golden doodle!
Annie is originally from Sioux City, IA. She has owned dogs and cats her whole life. Her parents currently have three corgis, but when family visits, the household is at a whopping five corgis. If Annie were a dog, she would be a Bassett Hound, because they just get her. Her favorite thing about walking dogs is watching them discover the world and seeing things through their eyes. What she loves most about animals is how much love they have to give, and that they remind her to be kind and generous to everyone. In her spare time, Annie enjoys reading, kayaking, true crime podcasts, hiking, and supporting the theatre community.
Ben grew up in Waukesha, WI. His family has had dogs since before he was born. They’ve owned a Golden Retriever, a Cockapoo and a Goldendoodle. Currently, Ben owns a black cat named Wednesday. If he could be a dog he would be a Golden Retriever. Ben’s favorite part of dog walking is building relationships with so many different dogs. What he loves most about dogs is how honestly they express their emotions. In his spare time, Ben enjoys reading, making music, and watching movies. He also runs a gallery and performance space in Humboldt Park and teachs music lessons!
Bobbi is originally from Texas, but has lived in New York, Florida, New Mexico, and Indiana before recently relocating to Chicago. Bobbi currently is the guardian of 2 cats Clementine and Millie, but grew up with Dachshunds and Australian Shepherds. Bobbi is an SIU alum, so if she were a pup, she would be a Saluki! Bobbi’s favorite thing about walking dogs is spending time with them outside and getting lots of affection. When Bobbi isn’t walking dogs, she enjoys anything having to do with the arts, including (but not limited to) working and attending the theatre, going to the movies, museums, and opera!
Brenton is originally from the Central Illinois area. He grew up among six sisters in Peoria, Illinois. Growing up together they had Gypsy, a Siberian Husky, and Tayden, a Black Lab, as well as Filbur, a three-legged cat they rescued. Currently, he is a foster parent to a loving Pitbull, Hank! He has had the honor of caring for him for almost four years now. If he could be a dog, he would be a Great Pyrenees, because they are affectionate, gentle, and patient, as well as, confident, fearless, and strong-willed. Brenton is a very gentle human with lots of love and compassion, but if his loved ones are in danger, he will protect them. His favorite thing about walking dogs is sharing the outside with them and how each walk unfolds differently even when you are walking in the same neighborhood. Mostly, he loves all the different personalities animals have and how incredibly well they can communicate without using words. Outside of walking dogs Brenton enjoys performing arts such as, acting, drawing, painting, playing live music, and singing.
Cassandra is originally from Texas and Nebraska. She grew up with two dogs, rats, turtles, a cat, and a fish! Although Cassandra does not have a dog of her own, she has a family Aussie mix named Odie back home. If Cassandra were to be a dog, she would probably be either a Golden Doodle or a Basset Hound – most days she is itching to go outside, but on her days off she loves to sleep! What Cassandra loves most about dog walking is being able to get exercise with a furry friend! Being outside in Chicago offers her new experiences on a daily basis, which she finds exciting! In addition to walking dogs, Cassandra makes photography and video art, and enjoys writing! The thing Cassandra loves most about animals is their contagious enthusiasm for life, and their never-ending love!
Danny is from originally from a northern suburb of Chicago called Waukegan. Both of his grandparents are farmers, and he worked as a farm hand multiple summers. He also used to own a Chihuahua as well! If Danny were a dog, he would be a Schipperke. Outside of dog walking, Danny enjoys writing, cooking, and watching Netflix. What he loves most about dogs is how excited they are to go outside and the unconditional love they give to everyone!
Darla is a Chicago native and knows all there is about the city! Darla was a proud owner of a black Lab mix a little over nineteen years, who she loved very much. Currently she does not have a dog of her own, but she does have a very playful Tabby named Gary! If Darla were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Pug because they are stubborn and charming. What Darla loves most about dog walking is that she has the opportunity to help keep dogs healthy by making sure they have their outside time! What she loves most about animals is their endless playful energy. Outside of dog walking, Darla works as a waitress, and enjoys yoga and playing with hula hoops outdoors!
Diane was born and raised in Mount Prospect, but has spent the last 10 years here in Chicago! She has spent much of her life caring for animals from dogs and cats to hamsters. Although she currently doesn’t own a dog of her own, she hopes to have one soon and volunteers at PAWS in the meantime. If Diane were a dog, she would be a Great Dane! Outside of walking dogs, Diane is a library-enthusiast, book lover, movie watcher and loves going out with her friends. Her favorite thing about animals is that they are so smart and big empathizers that truly sense the world around them.
Dominique was raised in Chicago and calls it home! Dominique has loved and lived with dogs since she was 5 years old. She grew up with two Rottweilers, a Lab, and a Chihuahua! Although she does not have any pets of her own, she has helped care for a Pitbull, Maltese, a Mutt, a Chihuahua, and two cats which her roommates have owned through her adult life. Dominique also frequently petsits for friends and family! If Dominique were to be a dog, she would be a Jack Russel Terrier: fearless and energetic! What Dominique loves most about dog walking is that they teach her about patience and how to control her emotions to navigate situations, especially when walking a dog that’s not familiar with her. Outside of dog walking, Dominique is a poet and a screenwriter, and is currently writing her first book! What Dominique loves most about animals is how honest they are. They show you who you are, what they want, and what they need from the moment they meet you which she finds to be refreshing!
Dylan is a native Chicagoan from the Rogers Park area. He has volunteered at numerous animal shelters, caring for both dogs and cats, as well as taking care of the birds at the Knox College Biology department! Now he has a wonderful Black Lab named Night. If he were a dog, Dylan would be a Labrador like Night! His favorite part about walking dogs is seeing how much they enjoy being out and about, as well as helping them get the exercise they need. Outside of dog walking, Dylan enjoys reading, writing, and making funny videos for his friends. He hopes to make his own YouTube channel from his experiences with these videos! His favorite thing about animals is that they are honest and unafraid to express themselves.
Eloisa was born and raised in Brownsville, Texas, but moved to Chicago when she was 12 years old. Currently Eloisa owns two Pitbulls and a cat. One of her dogs is Smokey, a blue Pit who she rescued off the streets in Houston after trying very hard to find his owners with no success. Both pitties are huge cuddle bugs and love her very much! If Eloisa were to be a dog, she would be a Corgi because they have short legs but love to run! Also, they are friendly and seem to get along with everyone. Eloisa loves walking dogs because of how happy they get when they know they’re going outside! She also appreciates the exercise they both get during walks. Outside of dog walking, Eloisa enjoys going to the gym, hiking, and cooking at home with her family! The thing she loves the most about animals is their loyalty!
Elura is originally from North Carolina but has lived in Chicago since 2016. Her experience with animals comes from owning dogs her whole life, growing up on a farm, volunteering at a pet shelter, and working at a doggie daycare. If Elura were a dog she would be a corgi! Her favorite thing about walking dogs is the exercise and fresh air for both herself and the pups she walks. In her free time Elura enjoys working in the theatre, as well as practicing archery and aerial acrobatics.
Emily is originally from St. Louis and is admittedly a Cardinals baseball fan at heart! Emily has grown up with dogs all throughout her life. Her family has owned a Boxer, a Bichon Frise, and a Golden Retriever! Emily had also gotten very close to a Dachshund and two Westies that she had petsat for. Although Emily currently does not have a dog of her own, she hopes to rescue one in the near future! If Emily were to be a dog, she would definitely be a Golden Retriever due to her friendly and authentic personality! Emily’s favorite part about dog walking is being able to show them lots of love and kindness, in addition to being able to explore outside with them. What Emily loves most about animals is how in tune they are with our emotions. Growing up, her dog always knew when she was sad and would comfort her in their own way! Outside of dog walking, Emily enjoys cycling, listening to podcasts, exploring new parts of the city, and blogging!

Emma Jo is originally from Springfield, Illinois. She worked at a speciality pet food and supply store for the last three years, and prior to that she worked at a boarding and daycare facility in the suburbs. She has been a cat mom her entire life, and grew up with a sweet little Beagle named Dandy Dog. Emma Jo currently owns two cats: Giselle, a Siamese-Calico mix and King Richard Toothless III (R-2 for short), a special needs (no teeth, deaf, leg joint deformations, etc) Maine Coon mix. If Emma Jo was a dog she would be a Great Dane: She’s goofy, laid-back, and ready to have fun! But, at the end of the day, she’s probably a cat! What she loves about walking dogs is making a one-on-one connection to her pooches, helping them gain confidence in themselves, and bringing out their playful side! What Emma Jo loves about animals is the love and trust they have. No matter how they have been treated in the past, if you show them real love and acceptance, they will follow you to the end of the earth. Even the shyest, saddest, most anxious critter can be brought out of their shell and made into a happy, loving baby! In her spare time, Emma Jo is an actor/dancer, seamstress, and sketch artist! Anything artsy is her jam! She is also a big comic book and sci-fi/fantasy nerd.
Garrett moved to Chicago from Oklahoma City. He grew up with a Dachshund named Tipsy. If Garrett could be a dog, he would be a Boston Terrier. Just because they’re his favorite. What he loves most about walking dogs is getting to meet new dogs and becoming their friend. Outside of dog-walking, Garrett is an actor in the city. His hobbies include being a huge nerd in the subjects of Musical Theatre, vintage video games, and Arena Rock bands of the 70’s and 80’s.
Gary is originally from Santa Barbara, CA. He grew up with a chubby Dalmatian named Domino, and his handsome Siberian Husky named Yukon currently still lives with his parents in California. Gary has been walking dogs professionally for several years, and was WCP’s Walker Manager for over a year and a half before stepping down to focus on his acting career. If Gary could be a dog, he would be a Northern Inuit because at this point it seems like that’s the only way he’ll ever be on Game of Thrones. His favorite thing about walking dogs is getting to develop friendships with such amazing animals and watching how they grow, no matter their age. One of his favorite characteristics of dogs is their uncontrollable energy when they get excited; they never feel the need to play it cool. Outside of walking dogs, Gary is an actor, improviser, and guitarist around Chicago, and he enjoys regaling people with his theories about what’s going to happen next on Westworld.
Gavin is originally from Los Angeles, California. In addition to having a charismatic dog of their own named Watson and a kitty roommate named Bella, Gavin has worked as a petsitter in the Loop area in the past. If they were a dog, Gavin would be an Australian Shepherd for their energy and knack for learning new things. What Gavin loves most about dog walking is giving each dog a chance for some outdoor time they may otherwise not have throughout the day. Gavin also loves having a furry companion to spend time with while exploring the city! In addition to walking dogs, Gavin is a writer, singer and actor. What Gavin loves most about animals is the unique ways they communicate with each other and with humans because it is a humbling reminder that we are all unique and similar living creatures!
Gayle was born and raised in the north side of Chicago.
She has worked 3 years collectively as a dog handler and dog walker, and has an adorable five year old vizsla/beagle mix named Hossa. If Gayle were to be a specific dog breed, she’d probably have to be a pug! In her free time she likes to read a good book or try a new DIY project. What Gayle likes most about walking dogs is being able be one on one with your pup and getting to know their quirky personalities! What she loves about animals is that they are such incredibly smart and caring creatures.
Gregg grew up in the small town of Angier, North Carolina. He has grown up with all manner of pets from dogs and cats to snakes and geckos! He also grew up in a family of dog groomers and helped in the shop while growing up. If he were a dog, he would be a Toy Poodle. What Gregg loves most about dog walking is being outside while also being able to spend time with and meeting new dogs! In addition to walking dogs, Gregg enjoys traveling, playing tennis, and watching all sorts of sports. The thing Gregg loves most about animals is how loving they are and that they can always put a smile on your face even on gloomy days!
Guillermo is a Chicago native and loves the city! He has previously taken care of a wide variety of animals, including dogs, a cat, birds, a rabbit, and reptiles! Guillermo was a volunteer at PAWS Chicago for two years and has had prior experience in dog walking which worked great for him since his building does not allow pets. If Guillermo were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Siberian Husky! What Guillermo enjoys most about dog walking is being able to spend time with a variety of different breeds, and having the opportunity to learn about all of their individual personalities! Outside of dog walking, Guillermo enjoys playing volleyball, playing softball, and exercising! What Guillermo loves most about animals is how different each and everyone of them are.
Jacqui moved to Chicago from Texas about 4 years ago. She’s spent most of my life around dogs, and currently has two boxers that live back home with her parents in Texas. If Jacqui were a dog, she would definitely be a pug! To her, the best part about being around dogs is getting to experience their often wacky personalities. When Jacqui isn’t petting strangers’ dogs on the street, she can often be found baking! She’s also an avid traveler and enjoys going on adventures.
Jayna is originally from Southern California! Jayna grew up with dogs and currently enjoys spending time with a maltipoo and a yorkie who are members of her extended family. When she is not busy walking dogs, Jayna enjoys going to local plays, binge watching tv shows, listening to podcasts, and reading for grad school. Her favorite thing about dogs is how excited they get to see their walker, and how the excitement is expressed differently depending on the age and breed of the dog. If Jayna were a dog, she would be a golden doodle because she just loves their distinctive personalities and high energy level!
Jen was born and raised right here in Chicago! She has spent much of her life caring for animals, and is currently the guardian to two adorable pups Spuds and Odie, as well as Meeko, an acrobatic grey tabby kitten. If Jen were a dog, she would be a Pembroke Welsh Corgi! When Jen isn’t walking dogs she enjoys watching reality tv, hiking, and supporting animal related causes. Her favorite thing about animals is that they are always living in the moment, and their ability to teach us simple yet beautiful life lessons.
Jonathan grew up in here in the Windy City with all manner of dogs! Currently Jonathan lives with his two pit mixes named Quentin and Lucy, his chihuahua named Chaparoo, and a cockatiel! If he were a dog, he would be a Labrador Husky mix. What Jonathan loves most about dog walking is seeing how excited they get before a dog walk and how they sniff around to explore their surroundings. In addition to walking dogs, Jonathan enjoys mentoring at his alma matter’s theatre and also likes to knit and crochet. What Jonathan loves most about animals is how sweet and loving they can be. Jordan has been a part of the Windy City Paws team since 2017 and is originally from Tulsa, Oklahoma. He grew up with dogs and has been around them his whole life, including his beloved 4 legged friend Sadie, a Boxer/Black Lab mix. If Jordan were a dog, he would be a French Bulldog! His favorite thing about walking dogs is their contagious energy and zest for life. In his spare time, Jordan is a performer so he can often be found acting, rapping, singing, and dancing in the beautiful city of Chicago.
JT is originally from San Luis Obispo, CA. His family owned a West Highland Terrier mix who recently passed away. She was a rescue named Lizzie who they had for well over ten years. If he were a dog, he would be a West Highland Terrier as he is loyal, independent, and friendly. His favorite aspect of walking dogs is how excited they get when they know it is time for a walk. His favorite thing about animals is how they often reflect aspects of our own humanity and can teach us things about ourselves. When he is not walking dogs, he enjoys collecting records, watching movies, and spending time with friends and family.
Justine is a Chicago native who grew up surrounded by 4-legged friends! From fostering to petsitting to volunteering at a Chicago animal shelter, Justine has done it all and is excited to care for your best friend as part of the Windy City Paws team. If Justine were a dog, she would be a Corgi! Her favorite thing about animals is how kind and accepting they are. She enjoys the opportunity to spend time in nature building relationships with some of the coolest pups in Chicago! Keith is originally from London, England! He grew up in a family of dog and cat owners. They always had dogs, or cats…and sometimes both! Keith currently owns two wonderful rescue cats… who make it apparent that he and his wife are living in “their Space “ (this is no more obvious then when sleeping, and they are squashed into one tiny corner of the bed)! If he could be a dog he would be a Staffordshire Bull Terrier! Keith’s favorite part of dog walking is spending time with the dogs, and getting to know their idiosyncrasies. What he loves most about animals is their different personalities, a trait you only get to notice, and appreciate, when you spend time with them. Keith is a musician, and also enjoys photography in his spare time.
Kendall is originally from Dallas, Texas, but now calls Chicago home! Kendall grew up with multiple different rescue dogs, and currently has two wonderful rescue cats, Shibori & Hunter, and a turtle named Aztec. What Kendall loves most about walking dogs is having the opportunity to explore the city with amazing dogs at her side! What Kendall loves most about animals is that they have a wide variety of fun personalities that make them each unique. Outside of dog walking, Kendall is a furniture and housewares designer that specializes in textiles and soft goods. If Kendall were to be a dog, she would definitely be an Alaskan Malamute!
Kenzie hails from West Bend, Wisconsin. Growing up, animals had always been an integral part of her nuclear and extended family structure. She had beagles when she was younger and now she has a pit bull mix. She also had an extended pet family that included huskies, teacup yorkies, a dachshund, a shih tz-poo, and several lovely mixed breed pups. Her early familial introduction to caring for pets cultivated and cemented a deep love for animals, no matter the shape or size. If she were a dog, she would be a pit bull, as they are outstandingly loving, loyal, brilliant, and hilarious dogs. The unadulterated outpouring of love and joy when greeted by a dog is the best part of the job. In a single instant, they can make you feel so loved. It’s a truly exceptional feeling. She enjoys traveling, acting, reading, attending the theatre, catching up on the latest binge-worthy Netflix series, and making terrible puns.
Kris is from Fort Lauderdale, Florida. She’s owned cats, dogs, hamsters, birds, a rabbit, and several fish over the years. Kris currently owns a 9 year old rat terrier named Conner and two cats: Frankie and Loki! If she were a dog she would be a mutt! A bit of rat terrier, with a bit of St. Bernard….or some other lazy breed! Kris loves being able to hang out with the same dogs everyday, getting to know all of their different personalities and quirks, and forming bonds with all of them! What she loves most about animals is that they aren’t judgmental and love unconditionally. In her spare time, Kris enjoys cuddling with all her fur babies and watching movies. Other than that, she loves to draw and paint!
Lacey is originally from San Francisco but is now attending classes in Chicago! Lacey has had pets growing up all her life. She has even started dog and cat sitting in High School, and continued through college! After college, her pet-sitting grew in scope and she even spent some time as a live-in dog watcher. Lacey currently cares for a Shiba Inu mix who was found in scavenging the California desert, and a black cat who was found living in a dumpster in LA. If Lacey were to be a dog, she would definitely be a German Shepherd: super loyal, protective of loved ones, extremely curious, intelligent, and always dying to go outside! What Lacey loves most about dog walking is being able to spend time with pups, and it makes her happy to be able to help keep them happy and healthy! Outside of dog walking, Lacey is working on a post-master’s certificate at DePaul in music. She loves playing music and going to hear symphonies and operas whenever she can! Greetings! I am a 2015 graduate from Webster University in St. Louis, MO! After college, I went on tour with Missoula Children’s Theatre and then moved straight to Chicago with my childhood best friend! I am an avid animal lover, and have experience pet sitting and dog walking for numerous family friends. My Mom and I have helped take care of our adopted golden lab, Jersey, (who’s like my little bro), for many years, as he just turned fourteen! I believe that ALL animals deserve all the love and care in the world, and I hope to help do my part to make that happen with Windy City Paws!
Larkin is originally from Ashland, Oregon but moved to Chicago in 2016 from New York. She grew up with both cats and dogs, all of which were rescues. Larkin frequently went on long walks and hikes with her dogs back home. Larkin currently owns two Domestic Short Hair cats named Piper and Max who are four and three years old respectively. If Larkin were to be a dog, she would probably be a Border Collie! What Larkin loves most about dog walking is the companionship that the dog provides and being able to see the joy dogs get when exploring the outside world! In addition to walking dogs, Larkin is a freelance dramaturg and she enjoys working on new scripts with playwrights. Larkin does her best to make help ensure the story the playwright wants to be telling is the story that is actually being told! Larkin also enjoys hiking, camping, and swing dancing on her free time! The thing Larkin loves most about animals is the comfort and companionship they provide.
Lia is a Chicago native and grew up with a gaggle of pugs. She and her fiancé have two adorable Boston Terriers who are sometimes too smart for their own good. Lia lived in Denver for several years where she fostered abused dogs that could not be put up for adoption at the humane society until they had been rehabilitated. What she loves most about dogs is their resilience and capacity to love without condition. Her favorite part of walking dogs is getting to know each dog’s personality as well as getting great exercise with her four-legged friends. If Lia were a dog breed, she would probably be a Newfoundland – friendly, hardworking, and a caretaker by nature. Outside of dog walking, Lia is the Director of Strategic Development for a Chicago nonprofit organization. In her spare time, she loves supporting the Chicago comedy scene, volunteering, traveling and anything to do with fresh air and sunshine!
Manon is originally from a small town in the southwest of France. She lived in the Washington D.C. area for four years before moving to Chicago. She grew up with two dogs (an old English Sheepdog and a Pekingese) and a lot of cats. When she first arrived in the U.S. as an au pair, she took care of her host family’s dog, Ozzie, and did a lot of pet sitting and walks with for his friends in the neighborhood. If she could be a dog, she would be a Labrador – friendly, always up for anything and a little goofy. She likes walking dogs because she gets to spend time with all kinds of dogs. She enjoys getting to know their personalities and walking around Chicago! What she loves most about animals is their unconditional love and cuteness! Outside of dog walking, Manon is a nanny for her former host family. She likes to watch movies, cook, go to museums, try new board games, and, truth be told, play The Sims!
Mariah is from Seattle, WA. She grew up with an Alaskan Malamute and an Akita! If Mariah could be a dog she would be a German Shepherd! What she loves about dog walking is it makes her day and she loves hanging around dogs! What she loves about animals is how they are great companions and have a huge love of life. In her spare time, Mariah enjoys dancing, reading, writing and taking photos!
Marianne is from Mansfield, Texas. She had a cat when she was growing up, and later she lived with a blind poodle for a while in college. If she were a dog she would be a Bernese mountain dog, because they’re tall and super friendly! What Marianne loves about walking dogs is experiencing all the unconditional love. What she loves most about animals is that they are just so darn cute! In her spare time, Marianne enjoys reading, writing, and binging Netflix.
Matt is originally from Perkins, Oklahoma. He has been helping care for his family’s animals for many years, ranging all the way from a Great Dane, to a Boston Terrier, to some family kitties! Matt currently has a Long-Haired Chihuahua named Chi. If Matt was a dog, he would be a Chihuahua because they are fiercely loyal to the ones they love! His favorite part about walking dogs is the bond he develops with his furry companions. Outside of dog walking, Matt enjoys writing music, playing video games, and binge watching TV shows with his girlfriend and Chi! Matt’s favorite thing about animals is that they do not judge us based on superficial things. As long as they we give them love, attention, respect, and discipline, they will be the most loyal friend ever!
Mercedes is a Chicago native and has lived here her whole life. Growing up, she has raised a fish, guinea pigs, cats, and even a squirrel! Mercedes also has taken care of a German Shepherd named Yago and a Labrador Retriever named Hana. Although Mercedes does not have a dog of her own currently, she does have two cats. Hi! I’m Michael. I’m a recent transplant here in Chicago from sunny Sarasota, Florida to pursue performance art and theatre, and I recently graduated with a degree in theatre from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. I am the lucky best friend of a beautiful Australian Shepherd named Apache, who unfortunately due to traveling had to stay back home in Florida. We like to FaceTime each other though so it’s all good. I love dogs so, so much (and cats and I are pretty cool, too), and I can’t wait to meet and become friends your furry companion too!

What Michael loves most about animals is that they’re a lot like us and reflect the best parts of who we are.
Michael is originally from Brooklyn, NY. While Michael does not currently have any pets of his own, he has previously cared for dogs and cats at a senior center where he also cared for their human residents. When Michael isn’t walking the 4-legged residents of Chicago, he enjoys writing and performing stand up comedy, gardening, and spending time with his partner. Michael’s favorite thing about animals is learning all about their unique personalities. If Michael were a dog, he says he would be a schnauzer because he identifies with their combination of seriousness and silliness!
Nancy is from Chicago. Over the years, she has cat-sitted for friends cats and has walked her neighbors dogs. Nancy currently owns a very spoiled Maltese-poodle dog! If she were a dog she would be a Dandie Dinmont Terrier. Nancy loves that she never knows what to expect from dogs. They do so many silly things that they always put a smile on her face and make her laugh every single time! It’s just a happy atmosphere with dogs! What she loves most about animals is their loyalty! In her spare time, Nancy enjoys reading cozy mystery novels, running marathons, and trying to learn other languages (currently Swedish).
Nathan is originally from St. Louis, but has called Chicago home for over a decade! Nathan grew up surrounded by animals and actually spent summers at horse camp. Although he does not have a pet of his own, for the last 8 years, Nathan has shared a home with an awesome Shih Tzu named Gimo. If Nathan were to be a dog, he would be a West Highland Terrier! What Nathan loves most about walking dogs is getting to know each dog and their own personal traits. Outside of dog walking, Nathan is an active member of the Chicago theater community, performing in shows all over the city. He also started playing the ukulele recently! What Nathan loves most about animals is the unconditional love that they can provide!
Nathaniel is originally from Boulder CO, but growing up he’s lived all over: Washington DC, Atlanta, Vietnam, and the Philippines! He’s lived with dogs and cats all his life. At home he took care of two dogs, a Filipino mix (who sadly passed away last year) and a chocolate Labrador. Nathaniel currently doesn’t have any pets as his apartment doesn’t allow, but he hopes to have a dog or cat of his own in the near future! If he could be a dog he would be a standard Schnauzer: loyal, quick to learn, occasionally mischievous, and easily bored. What he enjoys about dog walking is how meditative it can be! Also dogs are excellent listeners! What he loves most about animals is that they just need to be loved, pure and simple. It’s wonderfully uncomplicated, and they can remind us to be the most caring and loving version of ourselves. In his spare time, Nathaniel is an actor, yoga enthusiast, avid reader, and guitar player. He loves reading about spirituality, mythology (Joseph Cambell for the win!), classic plays, and graphic design.
Paige is a Chicago native! She has had dogs all her life, ranging from a Chow Chow-German Shepherd mix, to an Anatolian Shepherd, to a Shih Tzu. She currently has a Beagle named Rocky! If Paige were a dog, she’d be a Bernese Mountain Dog because they are loyal and affectionate. Paige’s favorite part about dog walking is seeing the joy expressed by dogs when they go outside; their happiness is uncontainable and brings a smile to her face! In her spare time, Paige enjoys reading and going to art museums. Paige’s favorite thing about animals is their friendship and that they provide a source of pure love.
Pierce is originally from Maine but now calls Chicago home! Although Pierce does not have any pets of his own currently, he previously cared for two dogs two cats, and some gerbils! If Pierce were to be a dog, he would definitely be a Husky. The thing that Pierce loves most about dog walking is being outside and allowing the dogs to enjoy the smells and sounds around them! Outside of dog walking, Pierce is an actor and enjoys writing, reading, and skiing. What Pierce loves most about animals is how unique their personalities are!
Rachel is originally from Golden, Colorado and is guardian to an adorable polydactyl cat named Biscuit! Rachel enjoys hanging out with dogs and exploring the beautiful city of Chicago with them, as well as acting, musical theatre, reading, cooking, and going to baseball games. Rachel has previously volunteered in animal shelters and has an appreciation for our 4-legged friends’ empathy and unconditional love. If Rachel were a dog, she would be a Dalmatian!
Rafael is originally from San Juan, Puerto Rico. He grew up with dogs, notably two beautiful Wimeriners and has lots of dog walking experience! If he were a dog he would be a Scottish Terrier. Rafael’s favorite part of walking dogs are: being active, spending time outside, and how excited his dog’s get when seeing him! What he loves most about animals is their incredible capacity for love! In his spare time, Rafael is an actor. He also has his black belt, and continues to practice martial arts.
Rebecca was born and raised in a south suburb of Chicago and grew up surrounded by dogs. While she currently does not have her own canine companion, she does care for an American Guinea Pig named Felix. Rebecca has been in the pet care business for 5 years and is motivated by the unconditional love that animals have to offer. If Rebecca were a dog, she would be a French Bulldog due to (among other things) her passion for eating, cuddling, and napping!
Ryan is originally from St. Petersburg, Florida, but now calls Chicago home! Ryan was always surrounded by animals growing up: he had 3 dogs, chickens, and even a pig! Although he currently does not have a dog of his own, he does have a cat named Svetlana. If Ryan were to be a dog, he would be a Border Collie! What Ryan loves most about dog walking is getting to be outside and exploring the city with some great pups! Outside of dog walking, Ryan enjoys art, music, and reading.
Sarah is originally from West Virginia. She grew up with several cats, and once she was old enough to work with animals, she began seeking out farm work and dog sitting opportunities so she could spend time with as many different animal friends as possible! Now Sarah has a very proud, toothlesss, 16 year old cat named Lorna. If she were a dog, Sarah would be a Pit Bull mix because she tends to wear her heart on her sleeve! Her favorite part about walking dogs is getting to know many different dogs. Outside of dog walking, Sarah is a painter! She spends most of her spare time painting, enjoying others’ paintings, and hanging out with her friends at their favorite local watering hole. Sarah’s favorite thing about animals is that speaking isn’t their main form of communication.
Sarah is originally from Wayne, ME. She grew up with border collies and rode horses for many years. Growing up in the middle of the Maine woods, she was lucky to often spot deer, and occasionally moose! Sarah currently lives with her roommates cat, Leo, and back home her dad still has Scooter, the border collie! If she were a dog she would be a Goldendoodle. Sarah favorite part of dog walking is THE DOGS! She has a whole new set of best friends whom she loves to spend time with! What she loves most about animals is their empathy, and their ability to tune into the emotion of their person! In her spare time, Sarah enjoys acting and directing and has been lucky enough to work with several wonderful theatre companies. She also loves hiking and cuddling up to drink hot chocolate.
Scott is originally from Pennsylvania, but has lived in Chicago for the last 26 years. He had a dog, a Bichon Frisé, named Victor, as well as many cats throughout his life, named: Max, Sebastian, Bonkers, & Smokey. If Scott could be a dog he would be a Beagle. Scott’s favorite part of dog walking is how being with dogs is calming and is one of the best ways you can spend your time. They are the most loving and giving of all animals. What he loves most about animals is their happy souls. In his spare time, Scott enjoys acting and an teaching as an adjunct professor at Columbia College. He also loves to read!
Sean is from Bolingbrook, Illinois. He has had pets his whole life. He grew up with lot’s of dogs, big and small. Currently Sean has a 12 year old beautiful tuxedo cat named Prada, named for her little white Prada boots she wears! If he could be a dog he would be a Pitbull. Big and strong! But super sweet! Sean’s favorite part of dog walking is getting to meet some of the sweetest pups in all of the world. What he loves most about animals is their loyalty and their friendship. You can always count on them. In his spare time, Sean loves to do films and pursue his acting and writing goals outside of dogwalking.
Sean is from Chicago! He’s had pets his entire life, including dogs, cats, and a parrot. Sean currently owns two dogs, a yellow lab and a cockapoo. If he could be a dog he would be a Great Dane. His favorite part of dog walking is getting to spend his day with all kinds of amazing pups and dogs! What he loves most about animals is their ability to give you unconditional love and loyalty! In his spare time, Sean loves to ride his bicycle around the city. He enjoys playing Frisbee golf in the summer and loves to go Ice skating downtown in the winter.
Seth grew up in a cat-loving home on the north side of Chicago, and has spent his life caring for animals of all types, shapes, and sizes! Currently Seth shares his home with 2 cats and a betta fish, so he gets his dog fix in as a member of the Windy City Paws team. His favorite thing about walking dogs is spending time getting to know their unique personalities while enjoying fresh air and exercise. When he is not enjoying the company of 4-legged friends, you can find Seth bartending, making art, or playing Magic the Gathering. If Seth were a dog, he would be a St Bernard!
Sierra is originally from Bristol, Indiana. She grew up with a veritable farm of pets from a pit bull mix and German short hair pointer mix to cats, hermit crabs, chinchillas, and a bird! Currently Sierra lives with her two cats named Gusto and Arya! If she were a dog, she would be a Husky. What Sierra loves most about dog walking is getting to know the dogs and the exercise from being outdoors with them! In addition to walking dogs, Sierra is in school for art therapy and counseling, enjoys reading Sci-Fi and Fantasy, and practicing Karate. What Sierra loves most about animals is how loving and accepting they are, getting to know them, and seeing their individual personalities!
Stella is originally from Chicago. She grew up mostly in a suburb called West Chicago and moved back the city about a year ago. She has had horses, dogs, cats and many small rodents and reptiles throughout her entire life. She couldn’t live without a few pets at this point! Stella has also volunteered at Danada Equestrian Center tending to the horses and helping prepare for lessons. She currently owns 2 cats, a bearded dragon, cane toads and Asian painted bullfrogs. If Stella was a dog she would be a Whippet! What she loves about walking dogs it allows her to hang out with lots of dogs when she currently can’t have any of her own! Dogs are such cheerful creatures, it’s hard to have a bad time with a pooch! What Stella loves about animals is how interesting they are. They are all different, and it’s cool to learn their personalities and traits just like getting to know a human. They’re smarter than most people give them credit. In her spare time, Stella enjoys arts of all sorts, photography, and she is very interested in biological sciences (genetics, biochemistry, etc.).
Sydney grew up in here in the Windy City. His family has owned dogs his whole life! Currently Sydney lives with 4 dogs, Handel, Inch, Pitchy, and Mona! If he were a dog, he would be a Miniature Pinscher. What Sydney loves most about dog walking is happiness that the walk brings both the dog and the people who see the dog! In addition to walking dogs, Sydney enjoys knitting, crocheting, and reading. What Sydney loves most about animals is how great of companions they make!
Victor is originally from Sunderland, MA, but enjoys calling Chicago his new home. Victor has been a dog owner for seven years and a dogsitter for canine clients of all shapes and sizes. He currently has a terrier mix of his own that he is constantly learning from. If Victor were a pup, he would be a big, fluffy, mutt! Victor’s favorite thing about walking dogs is urban walking, and taking his time to build strong relationships with dogs. When Victor isn’t walking dogs, he enjoys reading, writing, and drawing! The thing Victor loves most about animals is, meeting different kinds of personalities and mindsets they have, and learning from them on their own terms.
