I’m an outdoors kind of guy through and through. Born and raised in rural Wisconsin, I’ve spent the majority of my life out in nature and among animals. Some of my earliest memories are of spending time with our golden retriever Jake: my family camping on the shores of Lake Superior with him burrowed in my tent, or playing on the beaches of Lake Michigan, watching him go ankle deep in the water before getting scared and running back to me. I’ve had many great dogs since him, up until I moved down to the city a few years back and found that I couldn’t have animals in my apartment. It’s a bummer; but I love that I still get a chance to interact and take care animals by working for Windy City Paws. It’s like bringing a little bit of the wild into the city with me.

Hi! I’m Michael. I’m a recent transplant here in Chicago from sunny Sarasota, Florida to pursue performance art and theatre, and I recently graduated with a degree in theatre from Florida Gulf Coast University in Fort Myers. I am the lucky best friend of a beautiful Australian Shepherd named Apache, who unfortunately due to traveling had to stay back home in Florida. We like to FaceTime each other though so it’s all good. I love dogs so, so much (and cats and I are pretty cool, too), and I can’t wait to meet and become friends your furry companion too!
Michael was born in Leetonia, OH, but was raised in Orlando, FL. He grew up with several dogs throughout his childhood ranging from Terriers to Dachshunds to Golden Retrievers. He currently has a cat named Tiger, and he regularly helps house-sit a Rhodesian Ridgeback named Stella. If he were a dog, Michael would be a Siberian Husky, though his friends see him as a Jack Russell Terrier. He enjoys walking dogs because the combination of exercise and bonding with all sorts of dogs with their own personalities is a dream. In his spare time, Michael auditions for acting gigs and enjoys running and going to the gym.

What Miles loves most about dog walking is having a great friend to go on a walk with every day. It’s nice to see how much the dog enjoys it, and it’s a great way to stay active. The thing he loves most about animals is their curiosity. He loves the look on their faces when they see something that they’ve never seen before. Nathaniel is originally from Boulder CO, but growing up he’s lived all over: Washington DC, Atlanta, Vietnam, and the Philippines! He’s lived with dogs and cats all his life. At home he took care of two dogs, a Filipino mix (who sadly passed away last year) and a chocolate Labrador. Nathaniel currently doesn’t have any pets as his apartment doesn’t allow, but he hopes to have a dog or cat of his own in the near future! If he could be a dog he would be a standard Schnauzer: loyal, quick to learn, occasionally mischievous, and easily bored. What he enjoys about dog walking is how meditative it can be! Also dogs are excellent listeners! What he loves most about animals is that they just need to be loved, pure and simple. It’s wonderfully uncomplicated, and they can remind us to be the most caring and loving version of ourselves. In his spare time, Nathaniel is an actor, yoga enthusiast, avid reader, and guitar player.
