Chicago Canine Rescue was founded in 2001 to help find permanent, loving homes for homeless dogs in Chicago. They have rescued and rehabilitated over 6,000 dogs (and even some cats).

Our founder Katie with our clients Maxwell, Maverick and their mom came to strut their stuff in their awesome costumes!

Mutt Strut is Chicago Canine Rescue’s largest fundraising event of the year. 2018’s event was held in the streets of Southport Corridor to mark its 15th year. This important fundraiser was a fun filled pet-friendly 80’s themed Block party and 1.5 mile walk.

Our client Brisbane stopped by the Windy City Paws table to say hello and of course to grab some treats!

At Mutt Strut, participants could partake in the 1.5 mile walk, lip sync contest, pac man maze, best dressed contest, 80’s themed photo booth, silent auction, a raffle with prizes, and over 20 vendor and sponsor booths to purchase goodies from! Furry best friends were of course welcome and a big contributor to making an amazing event.

Windy City Paws was a proud sponsor of the event this year. We had a blast meeting all the pups in their costumes. Check out some of our awesome photos from the event here.

Thank you to all the sponsors, volunteers and to Chicago Canine Rescue who helped make this event possible!
