We love our walkers at Windy City Paws, and this month we want to introduce to you to Dustin, who has been with us for over a year!
Where are you from?
Roscommon, MI
How did you end up in Chicago?
I moved here once LA became too expensive to live in.
What is your favorite pastime?
I love to read and watch movies.
What is your hidden talent?
I can make movies.
Do you have pets? If so, what kind and what are their names? Tell us about their personalities.
I have a cat named Burgers, he’s a Russian Blue and he’s very social and loving. He loves playing fetch with his toys and snuggling with me after work.
If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
Jakal. It sounds pretty metal.
If dogs could run for public office, which breed do you think would make the best president?
Golden Retriever. They seem to be the generally accepted dog across the country with an even temperament.
Why did you decide to become a dog walker?
I wanted a job with flexible hours that would allow me to work on film sets and take classes.
What’s the weirdest thing about being a dog walker?
How people will ignore you completely and just talk to the dog you walk.
What would people never guess is part of your job as a dog walker?
The attention to the dog’s health and welfare we give.
What is your biggest pet peeve while walking dogs?
Lots of people don’t walk their dog with a leash or they’ll take their dogs to parks that prohibit dogs.
What’s the best part about being a dog walker?
I get to be the best part of a dog’s day when I take them for a walk.
