Walker Spotlight: Kevin M.

January 31, 2018

Where are you from?
I have lived in Chicago my whole life!

How did you end up in Chicago?
I was born right in Ravenswood.

What is your favorite pastime?
My favorite pastimes are listening to music and going out with friends.

What is your hidden talent?
I think my hidden talent would probably be being able to play multiple instruments.

Do you have pets? If so, what kind and what are their names? Tell us about their personalities.
I have a pit bull! Her name is Nala, and she is super friendly and loves everyone. She’s awesome!

If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
If I were a dog I would be a greyhound because I just really like greyhounds!

If dogs could run for public office, which breed do you think would make the best president?
If a dog would be president, I think a herding breed would be great. Like Australian Shepherd!

Why did you decide to become a dog walker?
I decided to become a dog walker because I had already been around many dogs–my own and my friends’ dogs. I thought it would be great to be able to work with dogs since I’m a huge dog person.

What’s the weirdest thing about being a dog walker?
I think the weirdest thing about being a dog walker is being around so many dogs that it feels like they’re yours but they’re really not.

What would people never guess is part of your job as a dog walker?
I think people wouldn’t guess that dog walking actually takes a lot of responsibility because you are taking care of a living thing!

What is your biggest pet peeve while walking dogs?
My biggest pet peeve is when my dogs try to eat stuff off the ground while on our walks! [Walkers have to keep a close eye out to keep their pups safe!]

What’s the best part about being a dog walker?
The best part about being a dog walker is really bonding with these dogs!
