Walker Spotlight: Sarah B.

November 30, 2018

We love our walkers at Windy City Paws, and this month we want to introduce to you to Sarah, who has been with us for a year!

Where are you from?
West Virginia.

How did you end up in Chicago?
I came to get my MFA in painting at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago.

What is your favorite pastime?
Eating cheese.

What is your hidden talent?
I am an enthusiastic wing man for friends.

Do you have pets? If so, what kind and what are their names? Tell us about their personalities.
I have a 17 year old toothless cat named Loma Doone. She is completely in charge and enjoys sleeping in flower boxes.

If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
I probably would be some sort of pitt mutt. I am a bit goofy and I get easily excited because I just have a lot of feelings.

If dogs could run for public office, which breed do you think would make the best president?
That is a hard question…. maybe some kind of hound? They are observant, focused and protective.

Why did you decide to become a dog walker?
I like jobs that keep me moving and active. Oh, and I love dogs!

What’s the weirdest thing about being a dog walker?
When you meet up with a friend after work and realize your conversation patterns have changed because you have been talking to more dogs than humans.

What would people never guess is part of your job as a dog walker?
How hungry you get by the end of the day.

What is your biggest pet peeve while walking dogs?
Salt on sidewalks.

What’s the best part about being a dog walker?
All of my dog friends.
