Overnight in-home petsits

Professional overnight petsitting services designed for pets who thrive best in the comfort of their own home. Whether you’re traveling for business or planning a vacation, our trusted, dedicated pet sitters provide personalized, in-home pet care – maintaining your pet’s daily routine and giving you complete peace of mind while you’re away.

How it works:

  • You provide your travel dates along with your preferred move-in and move-out times.
  • Your sitter stays overnight in your home and cares for your pet throughout your trip.
  • Before an overnight stay, we’ll schedule a Meet & Greet (billed at our standard 30-minute walk rate) so your sitter can get to know you, your pet, and their routine. 
  • We follow your pet’s normal routine, including feeding, walks, potty breaks, medications (if needed), playtime, and companionship.
  • Sitters may leave periodically for scheduled dog walks or personal errands, but pets are never left alone for more than 5 consecutive hours and no more than 8 total hours in a day.
  • If a sitter needs to be away longer, another Windy City Paws team member will stop by to walk and check in on your pet at no additional charge.
  • You’ll receive regular updates and plenty of photos throughout your pet’s stay.
  • To ensure your sitter is comfortable, please provide a proper bed in your home.

During your petsit, your petsitter will provide:

  • Feeding and fresh water
  • Walks and potty breaks
  • Playtime, enrichment, and companionship
  • Medication administration (if applicable)
  • Reinforcement of your pet’s normal routine
  • Light home care, including bringing in mail, watering plants, taking out trash, and rotating lights as requested

Pricing:

  • Rate: $215/day
  • Final Day: $100 if departure is before 12 PM; $215 if after
  • Holidays: Additional fees apply
  • Cancellation: $150 fee if canceled within 30 days

For new clients, we require a billed 30-minute Meet & Greet along with a minimum of 3 walks prior to your scheduled House Sit. This allows your pet to become familiar and at ease with someone new entering your home and caring for them in your absence.
