We love our walkers at Windy City Paws, and this month we want to introduce to you to Manon, who has been with us for a year!
Where are you from?
I am originally from a small town in the south west France.
How did you end up in Chicago?
I came to Chicago to work for a family I worked with back in the DC area.
What is your favorite pastime?
My favorite pastime is probably watching movies.
Do you have pets? If so, what kind and what are their names? Tell us about their personalities.
I have a cat named Chacha, which is French for “Kitty Cat.” She’s a feisty calico and a total gossip!
If you were a dog, what breed would you be and why?
I would definitely be a lab! Nice, goofy, always up for an adventure.
If dogs could run for public office, which breed do you think would make the best president?
I would guess an old mutt who’s seen it all.
Why did you decide to become a dog walker?
I had free time, a need of extra dog love and a desire to walk the streets of Chicago!
What’s the weirdest thing about being a dog walker?
The weirdest thing about being a dog walker is probably how much you end up talking about the dogs as though they were your own.
What would people never guess is part of your job as a dog walker?
The feeling of being part of all of my client’s families!
What is your biggest pet peeve while walking dogs?
I wish that more dog owners could understand that their dog being friendly doesn’t mean it’s okay to let them come up to us without leaving us a choice.
What’s the best part about being a dog walker?
All the dogs of course!
Thank you so much for all of your hard work, Manon! If you would like to learn more about Manon and our other fantastic dog walkers, visit our website!
